iPad connection kit
The iPad connection kit will does connect various USB devices to the iPad. So far test has been done to show that the Apple Keyboard can be connected although the Flip camera would not connect to the iPad via USB. It seems that the device will require too much power.
The kit also seems to work with most USB-based audio headsets, headphones or microphones. It made it possible to listen to music and a take VoIP call. The call quality is good, at least as good as AT&T service. It will probably allows easier use of Skype for those who do not use Bluetooth headsets or the Apple iPhone earbud/microphone set.
iPad and VoIP
Apple has announced that it has sold its one millionth iPad since the new tablet computer was launched at the start of April. Apple added that iPad users had downloaded over 12 million applications and over 1.5 million ebooks in that time. This could open up access to IP telephony solutions to a new generation of consumers, with VoIP solutions being among the applications that the iPad can potentially be used with. The iPad comes come in two versions, one with Wi-Fi and one with both Wi-Fi and 3G. The inclusion of Wi-Fi and 3G gives the iPad the potential to use VoIP, such as applications which allow it to perform similar functions to VoIP phones. It is likely that the iPad tablet will always rely on IP telephony solutions over traditional mobile network operators to deliver voice services.
Truphone puts its VoIP on iPad
Truphone has released Truphone for iPad. The iPad voip ready system work by using iPad’s built-in speaker and microphone. The reviewers had claimed that it works just like it does on the iPod Touch. The call quality is pretty standard. The Truphone iPad voip application gives users free calling to other Truphone and Google Talk users using WiFi as well as international calling to mobile phones and landlines for as low as 5 cents a minute. True to its legacy, Truphone yet again became the first company to launch such an application.

The Samsung tablet pc was earlier belived to be run via Intel however it will have the Google’s Android OS with ARM microprocessor as its core. The Samsung tablet would have 4G connectivity.
The new Samsung tablet device could be a redesigned version of the Q1 tablet. Still Samsung will sure to improve its features. It is still work in progress but with 3G, 4G and VoIP – Samsung’s new tablet will definitely give iPad a run for its money.
