You may be able to request a google invoice invite or a google voice invite for a friend through this link https://services.google.com/fb/forms/googlevoiceinvite/. You would probably get the google voice invite after 2 weeks of being on the list.

Just sign up for the google voice invite. Also most networks now have a “call a few numbers free” item available for plans. Use this and your google voice number and you have free unlimited calling to any number in US and Canada. You may also get some discounted calls apart from these 2 countries.

Google Voice – google voice login issue

Some users may have difficulty in login into google voice and get the error ‘Invalid Request’. We think this may have to do with the fact that GrandCentral login is not moved to their Google Accounts login. They may get this problem although they can login to GrandCentral without problems.

Such users may not have been upgraded to the google voice therefore they are unable to login into the google voice login. Users will have to be patient a little. Soon their GrandCentral inbox will show the notice when they are ready. That is when users may be able to link their GrandCentral account with their Google Voice login account.

Apple bans Google voice apps

Apple has begun to pull all Google Voice-enabled applications from the App Store saying that the apps “duplicate features that come with the iPhone”. Apple has also blocked Google’s official Google Voice application itself from the App Store. Google Voice allows users to send free SMS messages and get cheap long-distance calls over Google Voice’s lines. It is also easier to switch to a new phone service.
